The marriage of Alexander (Alastair) Sweet (1905 to 1975) in 1942 to Mary (Moira) Park Scott (1912 to 1977) began my immediate family tree. My father, Alastair is descended from the Border Sweets while my mother is descended from the Parks and Scotts in the West of Scotland.
