|Answers for Mrs Ramsay Miller, widow of the deaceased Andrew Robertson, merchant in Glasgow; William Robertson, John Robertson, and Alexander Campbell, junior, Merchants in Glasgow, and the Reverend Doctor George Robertson Minister of Campbletown, actingTristees of the said deceased Andrew Robertson, under a Trust disposition and Settlement, dated 8th May 1795, and for Walter Ewing McLae of Cathkin, Esq. |
I hav a copy of this petition wherein (I think) Mrs Ramsay Miller is seeking payment from the trust but there are transactions that need to complete before the trust can release funds. A dispute between Andrew Robertson ands his cousing Harry Robertson, with whom he was in partnership, had not been resolved causing financial delay.
This document is interesting as it draws in John Robertson, the bank: Messrs Murdoch, Robertson and Co. Presumably this was aside from the Glasgow Arms Bank. Throughout all this, interestingly, there is still no mention of James.
